Blue Cube MQi In-line dry

The Blue Cube MQi In-line dry is specifically designed for dry free flowing ore with a grain size below 2mm.

The scanner head is designed to receive a free flowing ore stream from above.

Real world accuracy

The graph below shows typical MQi scan results when the corona wire high voltage setting on a high tension roll (HTR) separator is adjusted and restored.

Samples, taken at intervals, were reduced, split and analysed by manual grain counts for the purpose of checking the calibration. The small differences are normal variations that occur when samples are analysed using different methods.

The Blue Cube MQi is intrinsically extremely accurate as can be seen in the graph below, because it “looks” at millions of grains with constantly varying mineral mixtures for each data point.

In comparison, externally analysed samples of a process stream are dependant on the skill and consistency of the human hand during sample withdrawals and sample reduction. In addition, typically only a few hundred grains are analysed with the associated lower statistical confidence.

The externally analysed data may only become available on the next day whereas the trend graph is available in real time.
